January “Hug-Us” (Help Us Give Up Something) Zoom/hybrid group program!

A new year is a great time for a new start with habits that truly serve us and also feel good!
But all sorts of internal and external resistance can get in the way of our habit change, even if the results will be both beneficial and enjoyable. That’s human nature! But fortunately it’s also human nature to be motivated and influenced by a friendly, supportive group, and that can make all the difference!
And instead of the pushing or forcing ourselves that is so common with New Year’s resolutions, we will
- Cultivate loving self-compassion for our human habits and cravings (it feels better AND really helps us create change!)
- Support each other unconditionally (shame-free zone!)
- Find more beneficial ways to satisfy and nurture ourselves in times of cravings, stress, etc.
- Explore new possibilities for fun, joy, play, excitement and authenticity in our lives
- Tune into and celebrate the positive changes we’re feeling
- Turn our minds to our beneficial intention and ask for strength and guidance from our inner wisdom and/or our Higher Power.
As Peter Black says in his book Community: The Structure of Belonging, “once we imagine possibilities, we don’t have to work on them – they work on us.”

Myself, I’ll be doing a Whole30 and also Dry January. I know some of the moments of craving will be tough, and I’ll have to deal with logistics in shopping and cooking. But I also know that I’ll sleep better, have more energy and ease in my body, and support my long-term well-being! And when January ends, I’ll feel more empowerment and ease about my future habit choices.

- We’ll meet twice a week on Zoom (or hybrid at my home studio in Falls Church, VA), on Wednesdays at 12:30 pm and Sundays at 1 pm Eastern, from Jan. 1 through Jan. 29. Join one or both meetings!
- We’ll also enjoy mutual support and community in a Hug-Us WhatsApp group (optional)
- You’ll get a powerful (but optional) habit change workbook from me with journal prompts and other proven tools for positive change.
- I believe in affordability and accessibility, so the group is just $120 for the entire program.
- Or harness the power of individual coaching by combining the group with 6 individual coaching sessions with me (starting the last week in Dec., then weekly in January scheduled at your convenience), for just $400! Current coaching clients can add on the group for just $100.
- Limited to 10 people to ensure strong connections and effective personal support.
