DESCRIPTION:Please join my monthly practice group on Zoom with other wonderful\, caring\, thoughtful people interested in self care. We release physical\, mental and emotional stress with a range of simple but powerful mind-body practices.  \nWe start with stretching and breathing\, then do a short guided meditation together\, and briefly discuss our experiences. SUMMARY:Getting Up to Pee\, What Can It Be?
DESCRIPTION:Do you get up more than once at night to use the bathroom? One time is still considered within the normal range\, but more than once is called nocturia\, and it deserves our attention. \nIf this sounds familiar\, please join me on Sunday\, Nov. 17 at 1 pm Pacific/4 pm Eastern on Zoom to investigate the causes and remedies! \nIt’s important to talk to your doctor about nocturia\, of course\, BUT there are also lots of modifiable\, non-medical reasons why this might be happening. \nFactors include pelvic floor weakness\, our habits\, and what/when we are drinking (in my case\, fizzy water was a culprit!). \nIn this interactive workshop\, we’ll investigate possible causes (which may be different for each person) and practice effective strategies and simple daily exercises that can help. \nIn my case\, I used to get up 2-3 times\, and now I’m down to 0-1! ? \nImportant: When signing up\, please also fill out my short questionnaire/waiver at this link\, thank you! \nWhat to bring: Please bring a squishy ball or cushion that you can squeeze between your thighs. Also please bring something you can use to take notes\, thank you! \nI’m a certified health coach\, personal trainer (age 63) and teacher of Pfilates\, a Pilates-inspired pelvic floor training program created by urogynecologist Dr. Bruce Crawford. \nThis workshop is free with truly optional donations to support this work and help get it out to more women.
