DESCRIPTION:Come experience the simple joy of Laughter Yoga with me! \nLaughter Yoga has no yoga poses and no jokes — it’s just a simple\, beneficial practice of “laughing on purpose” that gives us a long list of benefits: \n\nImproves our breathing and circulation\nReduces feelings of stress and promotes more lightness and relaxation\nCan help reduce pain and aid recovery\nHelps us feel more connected to each other\nand much more!\n\nJoin me at Nottoway Park in Vienna with a group from Finding Female Friends >50 (guests from other demographics are also welcome!). \nThere are no poses or equipment. No previous experience is necessary. The yoga part is simply deep breathing and a little mindful movement.  \nI became certified as a Laughter Yoga leader in 2022 and now lead sessions both professionally and as a volunteer. SUMMARY:(Free) Laughter Yoga Outdoors in Nottoway Park!
DESCRIPTION:Laughter Yoga has no yoga poses and no jokes — just gentle inspiration to “laugh on purpose” or “laugh for no reason.” \nLaughter brings us the benefits of exercise and even some more — stress relief and a sense of connection. If you don’t “feel like laughing\,” that’s when you can often benefit the most! \nIt’s a super-healthful (research-backed) practice which is also fun\, and you can participate according to your own comfort zone! (you are welcome to get a bit zany\, or not at all!) \nIt also includes some deep breathing and gentle movement. Find out more at www.laughteryoga.org . \nI’m a certified Laughter Yoga leader\, and I do it both professionally and as a volunteer. (I’ll be leading laughter at a marathon warmup the day before!) \nJoin me from 2 – 3 pm on Sunday\, May 3 in Nottoway Park to try this practice and feel the benefits! The park is just 1 mile from the Vienna metro station.\nI’ll bring large blankets so we can sit on the ground if desired (or use a picnic table).
